Interview With Trey Strukel - By: Pinkytm
Thanks for taking this interview, Trey Strukel. So, please tell us when you made your current account, and how you came to know about RuneScape.
I made my account in April 2005, I had heard about it from a couple friends in my 7th grade math class. I went home that night and started playing it, I was hooked already at tutorial island! I didn't really know what to do after I got to the main land, but I eventually figured everything out.
What skill did you use to do mostly when you first made your account, and why?
When I first started playing Runescape I went straight to the Varrock mines. I didn't really know what I was doing, but it was fun. I met quite a bit of friends there to keep me company while training.
What activities did you do the most? Did you enjoy skilling, minigames, making money, fighting tough freeplay monsters, or just talking to friends and etc?
I mainly just trained my skills while talking to the people in my area. I always liked making money though, trying to buy new armour and items that I liked.
Do you still do so now?
Nowadays, I usually just train skills while talking to friends and chatting on Sal's clan chat, while making money.
What are your current RuneScape goals?
My current goals in Runescape are 99 mining, which I'm sure I will finish. All my F2P stats to 70+ then 80+ and so on, training to become the next maxed F2P'er.
You have a lot of support from various members of Sals in your log, how did you get the idea of making one?
I got the idea from my friend, Quagmire268, now banned from Sal's forums. He is great inspiration to me and his log made me want to make one. I like recording my levels so that I can see them later too.
Seeing you got such high skills in freeplay, didn't you ever think about getting membership?
I remember back when I first started playing that I wanted to be a member so bad. I asked my parents if I could use their credit card to subscribe, they said no. After a while I gave up, to this day I don't want to be one though.
Cool, good luck with them goals. Off to real life questions
.
How old are you?
I'm 16.
Where do you live, do you like the place or do you want to move somewhere else, perhaps a specific location?
I live in the USA, I like where I live but I'd love to visit other continents to see how they live.
What are your hobbies, what do you enjoy doing the most?
I like chatting with friends, hanging out, listening to music, and Runescape of course!
Do you have any siblings, pets, or any "special" possessions that you would like to brag about to the rest of the forum
?

Interview With Helk - By: Youhei

Helk has been a helpful member of Sals for almost 2 years. He has helped with quest guides, and item entries for the item database. He's just a great member overall.
Hello! Glad you have time for this interview, how are you today?
Rather tired, but feeling great.
How did you get to know about Sals?
My friend Rizzo (aka Rizzo the Rat, aka Rhizome999), he showed it to me one day, I joined, I didn't really use it that much but I started using it a couple of months later when I started my log, that got me hooked.
That was lots of AKAs, haha. So, can you give us a summary of your Runescape character?
Well, I've been playing for well over four years. All but five months of it have been spent in Free-Play. I train more for balance and equality rather than raising one skill very high. During my Members time, I enjoy Questing a lot. I currently have 229 Quest Points. I also enjoy training some of the Member skills, such as Hunter and Slayer. Lately, my character has become almost entirely combat-based, I just don't find the enjoyment I used to in the repetitive tasks skilling has to offer.
Is there anything/anyone that inspires you?
Earlier I mentioned my addiction to the skill logs section, I truly take my inspiration from some of the more amazing logs found there. Some of my favourite players include W1z K1ll1ng, Spirit Hc, Chrisputtock, and Albert2006xp. Some truly amazing accounts they have going, and I just enjoy reading the things they write.
Do you have any specific skill you like?
Currently, I'm all about Slayer. I also enjoy Hunting, something about it strikes me as peaceful. Although not a skill, I also absolutely love questing.
Now, it's on to real life!
Are you a teacher's pet, naughty student or just a normal student in school?
To be honest, I've always done very good in my classes, but I'm not really a teacher's pet. I've been down that road, long ago, and it's not all it's cracked up to be. I excel in my classes on my own, I don't need the teacher's help to learn.
What are your favourite foods?
I love spicy burritos. Mexican food is probably my favourite, pastas a close second, the hotter the better.
Do you like to read? If so, what particular books do you like?
I'm a fast reader, but I don't do it that much. There are quite a few books I've read, nothing really in a specific genre. The entire Ender's Game series is very good, in my opinion, as is the Inheritance series.
What hobbies do you have?
I've played soccer most of my life, that and music are my major hobbies. I play guitar, piano, and recently, percussion instruments.
Such as?
Specifically, I'm getting pretty good at Marimba, although I've marched bass drum. I'm in my school's marching band. Last year I marched 4th bass, this year I'll be playing the marimba. I also am learning to program.
Program what?
Currently I'm learning Java.
Random question: How did the name 'Helk' come about?
I honestly don't know. I've used it for as long as I can remember in games. If you see a highscore set by Helk, it was probably me. Perhaps some inversion of hell. My Runescape account is 4 years old, and I used it before this guy, so you can see why I have trouble remembering.
Before I end this interview, do you have anybody you want to shout out to?
I'd like to make a shout out to W1z K1ll1ng, Rizzo and Ultra Man 0, my good friends, along with all my supporters for my current skill race I'm taking part in.
Thank you for sacrificing your time for this interview, and have a g'day!
You too!
